Slice House is expanding in the Bay Area — planning to open a new outpost in Mountain View, according to a recently submitted permit application.
Coming to 2565 California Street, #501, the eatery will land near establishments such as Mendocino Farms, ShowPlace ICON Theatre & Kitchen, and The Village at San Antonio Center.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Slice House, the fast-casual concept introduces itself as “a quick serve alternative to the dine-in service of chef-partner Tony Gemignani’s critically acclaimed Pizza Rock” on its website.
The description continues, “Slice House is a convenient way for diners to experience slices of Tony’s world-famous New York, Sicilian, Grandma, Detroit, and California style pizzas along with calzones, strombolis, paninis, house-made pasta, seasonal salads, meatball subs, sausages, and peppers.”“We’ve known Tony since junior high, we all grew up in the Fremont area,” Franchisees Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi tell What Now San Francisco — continuing, “When the opportunity arose, we jumped at it.”
Slice House is slated to open in February 2024.
