According to local franchisees Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi, once their first Bay Area outpost of Slice House opens in February 2024 at 2565 California St. #501, the duo will be on the hunt for additional real estate to expand the brand with up to eight locations of the fast-casual pizza joint.

Although specific location details for the additional units have not yet been revealed, the franchisees say that the Bay Area is the overarching area being looked into for expansion over the next few years.

Slice House was created in 2010 as an alternative to the critically acclaimed full-service Italian restaurants that chef and founder Tony Gemignani developed in San Francisco and Las Vegas called Tony’s Pizza Napoletana and Pizza Rock. Slice House currently has 30 restaurants and stadium kiosks in states across the Western U.S. with 100 Slice House franchises in development.

As a local of San Francisco’s neighboring town Fremont, Gemignani has personally known franchisees Mahavni and Rajasanshi for years growing up in the same town, and it was a no-brainer decision to help grow the business when the opportunity to franchise came up.

Alongside pizza, the brand specializes in various authentic pasta dishes and creative toppings. “Slice House is a convenient way for diners to experience slices of Tony’s world-famous New York, Sicilian, Grandma, Detroit, and California-style pizzas along with calzones, strombolis, paninis, house-made pastas, seasonal salads, meatball subs, sausages and peppers,” states the Slice House website.
