According to a recently submitted license application, the concept is coming to 2101 San Pablo Avenue, taking over the former home of States Coffee, near establishments such as Acme Bar & Company, El Patio, and Luca Cucina Italiana.
“Lavender Bakery is a European-inspired bakery in Berkeley that also serves many other cities in the Bay Area,” the concept shares on its website.
The introduction continues, “Our store menu enables you to find and order freshly made cakes, desserts, and more for store pickup or delivery online or over the phone” — and, for patrons who have visions of their own, the business offers custom-made cakes and goodies.
Operations Manager Ali Sandeghi tells What Now San Francisco that while the first location focuses on cakes and pastries, the upcoming spot on San Pablo Avenue will be a traditional-style bakery centered on bread.
The upcoming outpost will mark the bakery’s second location in Berkeley, joining its flagship shop at 1820 Solano Avenue.
