Coming to 1298 Market Street — an address formerly home to Indian vegetarian restaurant Ananda Fuara — Urban Curry will land near the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Dolby headquarters, and the San Francisco Public Library.

SF Times reports that “Urban Curry signed a five-year lease for the space in September, according to a source with knowledge of the leasing process who was not authorized to speak publicly.”

What Now San Francisco contacted Ambar Tamang, who is listed as a contact on business filings for the concept, to inquire about the upcoming location, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

The article continues, “It’s unclear if Tamang will go for a repeat of Urban Curry on Market or shake up the offerings for an altered concept. Nor is it certain that the move could mean an eventual replacement for the North Beach spot.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
