Coming to 2400 Lombard Street, the eatery will land near restaurants such as Mamanoko, Roma Antica, and The Patio.
What Now San Francisco contacted co-owner Ramamoorthy Ramasamy to inquire about Feringhee, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless — if the upcoming outpost in San Francisco is modeled after the concept’s existing location in Chandler, Arizona — locals can expect “diverse Indian cuisine [prepared] with modern gastronomy techniques, innovative culinary ideas, and new flavors to elevate the traditions of Indian culture,” according to the Feringhee website.
“Drawing inspiration from different regions across the country, the menu is a modest representation of the diverse culinary landscape, capturing feisty favorites like puchka on the streets of Bengal reimagined with melon jaljeera, blackberry kala khatta and beetroot chaas; to the tandoori stuffed bread, kulcha, inspired from the streets of Amristar made with masala ricotta cheese and paired with pindi chana hummus and pickled gooseberries; to the Kerala quilon chicken, served with peanut chutney, avocado mousse pachadi, and moringa,” the introduction continues.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Feringhee Modern Indian Cuisine on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
