Coming to 2362 Market Street, the restaurant will take over the former Catch SF space — which closed in March, according to an announcement on its website — landing near establishments such as the gym Barry’s Castro, Starbelly, and Super Duper Burgers.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Chouchou’s, on its website, the eatery introduces itself as an “authentic French Restaurant that offers a Provencal feel [and] a casual yet chic bistro atmosphere.” The cuisine is described as “Old World cooking with a modern French twist” and on the menu, patrons can find items like a rosemary-roasted grilled rack of lamb served with Madeira wine sauce, and escargot cooked with garlic, parsley, shallots, butter, and breadcrumbs.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Chouchou’s owner, Mina Habil, to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Chouchou French Bistro on Facebook for updates.
