Coming to 2125 Shattuck Avenue — a spot formerly home to Bao Dim To Go — the cafe will land near establishments such as Bag O’ Crab, the Persian restaurant Daryoush, and the Izakaya restaurant Ippuku.

Franchisee Eddie Hu tells What Now San Francisco that the small cafe will accommodate approximately six tables and that he chose the location due to its proximity to the Berkeley campus.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the company, it offers a brief introduction on its website: “In 2012, HEYTEA originated from a small alley called Jiangbianli. From a humble 20-square-meter small shop, HEYTEA has insisted on using real milk, real fruits, real premium tea, and real cane sugar, bringing everyone real quality tea and kicking off an era of “New-Style Tea.”

Today, HEYTEA operates 3,000 stores across China and has expanded its footprint to Singapore, the UK, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, and the US.

According to Hu, HEYTEA on Shattuck Avenue is slated to open in September.
