After more than six decades in business, and with two existing locations in San Francisco, Bob’s Donuts plans to expand to Mill Valley and San Jose. The bakery, known for providing “a variety of classic donuts and pastries,” is coming to 252 Almonte Boulevard in November 2022 and to Santana Row in 2023.

Rebekah Ahn, Operations Manager at Bob’s Donuts, shared with What Now San Francisco that the Mill Valley and San Jose locations will not follow the 24hr model set forth by the original shop at 1612 Polk Street. The new outposts plan, instead, to operate from 5 am to 5 pm. Once the businesses are fully operational, the closing time will be extended to 9 pm.
“These shops are set to boast more contemporary designs — a departure from the nostalgic, no-frills decor found at Bob’s Donuts’ original location,” reports SFist.
While the design will differ, patrons can expect the menu to remain consistent. “Usual Suspects” on the Bob’s Donuts menu include classics like raised glazed, raised maple, chocolate cake with sprinkles, and cinnamon cake donuts, in addition to pastries like apple fritters, butter croissants, and cinnamon rolls. “There will also be seasonal flavors that vary across locations,” shared Ahn, listing apple cider donuts as one example.
