According to a recent report in NOSH, a car “rammed into the deli and bagel outpost Wise Sons at 17th and Franklin on Sunday afternoon, destroying the restaurant’s front glass and much of the interior seating, counter displays, cash register station, and front-of-house equipment. The errant driver fled on foot and is still at large.”
Readers unfamiliar with the business, increasingly present in the Bay Area, can refer to its website to get a strong sense of the brand — “We make nearly everything in-house at Wise Sons, using the best ingredients we can source.”
“Our pastrami & corned beef is made with beef brisket that is never ever administered hormones or antibiotics. It is brined in a proprietary blend of spices and the pastrami is smoked for nearly seven hours over real hickory wood.”
As What Now San Francisco did not receive comment from company representatives by the time of publication, it is not immediately clear when the restaurant will open back up to the public. Addressing the incident on the official website, Wise Sons states “We are already consulting with a contractor to re-open as soon as possible.”
