According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the drinkery is coming to 1123-1125 Folsom Street  taking over two spaces formerly home to Julie’s Supper Club and Trademark, near Bloodhound, Rocco’s Cafe, and HK Lounge Bistro.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the establishment’s recent situation, The Stud closed down in March 2020 due to the pandemic but remained active online by streaming drag events and airing “Stud Stories,” a history podcast.

“It’s an opportunity to create a scene and also continue this incredibly rich and long history of queer resistance, joy, and celebration in San Francisco,” shares Honey Mahogany, a member of the 15-person collective that owns and operates The Stud.

Additionally, the collective “has launched a crowdfunding campaign with a goal of raising $500,000 by the end of November to help pay for renovations and other costs of reopening,” the journal shares, for patrons interested in showing support.
