Southie Eatery, a “New American, East Coast-inspired spot offering sandwiches by day and bites and brews by night,” is bringing a new location to Oakland Airport — where it will join existing tenants Peet’s Coffee, Vino Volo, and the recently opened concept Calavera.
For readers who are unfamiliar, Southie Eatery on College Avenue is known for its “lunchables,” like a Pacific cod ceviche tostada, steamed mussels, and buffalo chicken wings, alongside a selection of sandwiches. The dinner menu boasts roasted king salmon, beef short ribs, and spaghetti with manila clams — and for Sunday morning brunch, patrons can enjoy green chilaquiles, poached eggs and pastrami hash, and breakfast burritos.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Co-Owner Rebekah Wood, but she wasn’t immediately available for comment.
In addition to Southie Eatery, Rebekah and her husband, Rich Wood, also own and operate Wood Tavern, “a contemporary, rustic neighborhood restaurant serving an American brasserie experience” just up the street from Southie at 6317 College Avenue.
