Coming to 5000 Telegraph Avenue, Small Change will take over the former Doña Tomás space, landing right between Temescal staples Poppy’s Bagels and Roses’ Taproom.

“When I first came to Oakland, Doña Tomás was one of my favorite restaurants to go to for dinner,” Co-Owner Branden Nichols tells What Now San Francisco. He shares, “It was the first place I saw when I started looking for spaces online, it felt like it was destiny. “

The eatery will offer indoor seating around the raw bar, where patrons can watch the pros shuck and prepare dishes, as well as on a back patio. On the menu, expect to find oysters, various types of ceviche, clam chowder, and lobster rolls — and to drink, champagne and wine.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Small Change is known for hosting pop-up events at notable establishments such as Redfield Cider and The Punchdown.

Follow the eatery on Instagram for additional updates. In the meantime, find Small Change at The Port on July 14.
