Coming to Mission Rock, the concept will join a development by the San Francisco Giants and Tishman Speyer that has been underway for the last 13 years.
What Now San Francisco briefly spoke with Proper Food’s Founder and CEO Howard Bloom to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, should the upcoming Proper Food outpost remain consistent with existing locations, the menu will boast made-from-scratch sandwiches, salads, soups, and chef’s specials that rotate seasonally.
For readers unfamiliar with the Mission Rock development, a recent article by the San Francisco Chronicle shares that the upcoming 28-acre neighborhood “will eventually have 1,200 apartments, eight acres of parks and 1.7 million square feet of commercial space.”
“From the beginning, our goal was for Mission Rock to become San Francisco’s next great neighborhood and one that reflects the values and distinct character of the Bay Area,” Giants President and CEO Larry Baer shares in a statement.
Alongside incoming tenants, Ike’s Love & Sandwiches and Arsicault Bakery, Proper Food in Mission Rock is slated to open next spring.
In the meantime, follow the business on Facebook and Instagram.
