Coming to 1019 San Pablo Avenue — taking over the former home of Syma’s Mexican Grill — the eatery will soon neighbor establishments such as Bua Thai Kitchen, Pâtisserie Rotha, and The Habit Burger Grill.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Owner Blake Hunter to inquire about the upcoming restaurant, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, a recent article by the San Francisco Chronicle offers further insight.

According to the report, patrons can expect the menu to boast “the tried-and-true bagel lineup,” with flavors such as garlic, sesame, poppy, and everything, served alongside “creative schmears like spicy mango-peach and jalapeño-cilantro.” Additionally, Hella Bagels will serve around 12 cold and hot bagel sandwich options and coffee-based beverages, but a roaster has not been announced yet.

The East Bay eatery is slated to open in late December. In the meantime, Hella Bagels will continue to host pop-ups and deliver in the East Bay and San Francisco.
