According to an on-sale beer and wine license application pending since November 29, Inle Burmese Cuisine is leaving behind its spot at 1298 Church Street and moving to 822 Irving Street. At its new address, the Burmese eatery will neighbor the Vietnamese restaurant Perilla, Manna, Sushi Kazu, and Milk Tea Lab.

General manager and co-owner Morgan Sue tells What Now San Francisco that the new location is “much bigger” than the restaurant’s previous Church Street spot. He and business partner Shirlene Lim plan on removing the existing parklet and instead utilizing the patio for outdoor seating, however, it won’t be ready for use by the restaurant’s expected opening in January 2023. He estimates that the patio will be fully functional sometime in the Spring.

Sue shares that the menu will remain the same at the new location, offering popular dishes like tea leaf salad, paratha with coconut curry dip, Burmese-style garlic noodles, and Burmese-style curries. On the drink menu will be a selection of bottled Asian beer, bottled craft beer, and California wine. There will also be three types of beer on tap that will vary seasonally.

The Irving Street spot will open earlier than the previous space on Church Street. The hours will be from 11 am to 3 pm for lunch and from 4 pm to 9 pm for dinner, Tuesday to Sunday. Once the liquor license is approved, happy hour will run from 4 pm to 6 pm.
