Berkeley’s Chocolate Micro-Manufacturer, Bisou Chocolate, Is Opening its First Storefront

According to a recently filed business license application, a new coffee shop is coming to 1122 University Avenue in Berkeley.
The permit application provides insight into Starbucks's plans — intended improvements include "updates to the beverage prep area, new casework, and new finishes and beverage prep equipment."
Co-Owners Mat Pond and Holly McDell share, "our mission is to support small-batch producers who produce their goods authentically using traditional techniques and craftsmanship."
Known for providing "the best in traditional and exotic Asian ingredients," the grocery store chain is planning to open a new location in Vallejo.
