For readers who are unfamiliar with 168 Market, on its website the chain describes itself as “providing the best in traditional and exotic Asian ingredients to American consumers.” In addition to groceries, its stores offer baked items and prepared dishes that can be purchased at a food counter, as well as boba tea.

What Now San Francisco briefly spoke to Tawa Supermarket Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer, Fran Xu, but she was unable to provide additional information at this time.

The upcoming location will mark 168 Market’s sixth store in total — joining its flagship spot in Fremont, four outposts in Southern California, and another in Nevada.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
