The announcement came in the form of an email in which the concept’s owners, Mark Nevin and April Sack, share that difficulties renewing their lease and ongoing pandemic-related challenges made the decision inevitable — and that Tofino’s last day of service will be Saturday, March 30.

“We are heartbroken to make this announcement but plan to take many of the beautiful things that we built and created forward with us,” the couple writes.

“Most importantly, we would like to take you with us, as we have always been the conduit between the wines and winemakers that we are passionate about, and our customers who have been at the very heart of what we have done for the past nine years.”

Until the pair sign a lease for a new spot — which they’re looking to open in July — Tofino will operate predominately online.

Stay tuned for additional updates.
