Me and Jungle Cafe is coming to Oakland at 3943 Piedmont Ave. in the former Cafe Crush space. The restaurant’s Zoning Clearance application was just approved by the city of Oakland and is now okay to move forward with the final preparations for its opening.
According to owner Pornping Theeradechakul, Me and Jungle Cafe will serve items such as salad bowls, rolls, wraps, and “fancy” croissants. In a phone call with What Now San Francisco this week, she says that she hopes to open by mid-July.
Me and Jungle Cafe is an offshoot of Me and Jungle Plant Studio at 4139 Piedmont Ave. The local plant store has been the awe of passersby and seasoned plant parents with its wide variety of house foliage.
