Since 2018, Bizza has been wowing San Francisco pizza lovers from its post on Haight Street, not only for their Mediterranean-inspired flavors but also—or perhaps most especially—for their extensive vegan-friendly menu options. With all that Bizza has going for them so far, it’s no surprise to see that they are expanding operations with a second location.

Owner Sam Husary tells What Now San Francisco that Bizza is coming to San Mateo at 116 E. 25th Ave. At the moment, Bizza San Mateo is currently under construction but Husary says that they are projected to open by this coming June.
Husary has operated Haight Street’s Puff Puff Pass for over a decade before he decided to add a new venture to his portfolio. Along with business partner Tony Wasaya, who brought 15 years of pizza experience to the table, Husary converted the neighboring space into a classic pizza joint serving quality pie with Mediterranean flare.
While Bizza (named for the way Mediterraneans pronounce “pizza”) serves traditional pizza flavors, loyal customers can’t get enough of their Lamb Gyro and Falafel Bizzas. The shop is popular among the vegan crowd for their vegan-friendly menu options, from pizzas, calzones, pastas, and subs. For more information, visit eatbizza.com.
