“Opening our fourth location of Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen on the brand’s 10-year anniversary is truly a blessing, and we couldn’t be more excited to mark this milestone by bringing our cuisine to the Palo Alto community,” said Amir Hosseini, partner of Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen in astatement. “I’m amazed to see what we have accomplished in such a short timeframe; this is our third opening in two years. This new location within the shopping center attracts people from all across the Bay and is a great spot for families to enjoy our quality fine casual Turkish cuisine. We’re always looking for opportunities to enhance our recipes so I’m excited to share our beloved Turkish Mediterranean menu, which guests might not find at similar establishments. With the new location so close to Packard Children’s Hospital, it was a clear choice to support their patients and families with our Grand Opening. We’re thrilled to contribute to such a wonderful cause, and we hope to see you on Grand Opening Day!”

The Palo Alto location will offer light table service, with indoor and outdoor seating available for roughly 80+ customers. The restaurant design will mirror Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen’s other locations and feature a classic color palette and ambiance, bright natural light, and fresh foliage and plants, offering an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere.

The concept is known for authentic Turkish cuisine prepared in-house with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices, halal meats that are slow-roasted rotisserie-style, and the finest olive oil to make dishes that make guests feel like they are having a homemade meal. The menu features kebabs and gyro served with rice, mixed greens, and housemade hot sauce. Unique to the restaurant and Turkish cuisine is the Lahmacun (Turkish Pizza), a handmade and made-to-order thin-crust flatbread with minced meat, veggies, herbs, and spices. The menu also includes a variety of hummus, Turkish beef dumplings (Manti), Baba Ghanoush, salads, flatbreads, wraps, and a handcrafted selection of entrees like Moussaka, Branzino, Kebabs and more. Specialty desserts such as Baked Rice Pudding, Halvah Chocolate Mousse, and Baklava are each made daily and round out the menu offerings.

Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen celebrates the Turkish flavors, ingredients, and culture found in Mediterranean cuisine. Seeing a lack of elevated and approachable Mediterranean cuisine in the Bay Area, co-founders Onur Alkanoglu and Yasar Bulutoglu launched the San Mateo location in 2013. The friends aimed to bring the regional cuisine from their home country to families across the bay. In 2020, Amir Hosseini came on as a partner to help build a brand identity and expand to more locations across Northern California. In 2021, the San Francisco location opened in the heart of Russian Hill, and in 2022 the third location opened in downtown Mountain View.

The Palo Alto location can be found at 715 Stanford Shopping Center and will be open daily from 10:30am-10PM.
