Steffan Morin has been announced as the new outpost’s general manager, stating in a press release, “I started at Bi-Rite as a cashier my third day of living in San Francisco and I’ve spent time at both 18th Street and Divisadero, so I’m thrilled to now be creating a Bi-Rite Market Polk Street experience to delight our guests.”
According to the website, “under the leadership of second-generation owner Sam Mogannam since 1998, the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses has grown to include two neighborhood Markets, a world-renowned Creamery and solar-powered ice cream truck, a creative catering company, and a small farm.”
The market’s hours of operation are from 8 am to 9 pm seven days a week. They offer deli takeout for delivery or pickup, with sandwiches, salads, bowls, and entrees — including garlic chili noodles with tofu, and spaghetti and sicilian meatballs. On the website, they state that “doing business the old-fashioned way – being hyperlocal and transparent – is a vital component to how Bi-Rite operates today.”
