The brothers behind Saratoga’s Tamra Mediterranean Grill are debuting a new concept in Los Gatos, Dar Restaurant & Bar.
Coming to 11 College Avenue, the eatery will land near establishments such as Los Gatos Soda Works, Purple Onion Cafe, and Sidecar Modern Tavern — just down the street from the Lexington Dam Loop trailhead.
Co-owner Milad Shaqir tells What Now San Francisco that his brother, Chef Esam Shaqir, is currently developing the menu and that locals can expect Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the Levant, Italy, and Morroco.
Compared with the restaurateurs’ existing Sarasota eatery, Shaqir shares that Dar will offer a more “elevated” experience. The space boasts a full bar with seating, an indoor dining room, and a large patio equipped with a fireplace.
Dar Restaurant & Bar is slated to open before March. Stay tuned for updates.
