Before all you steak frites lovers get too excited, Leroy has yet to officially sign the lease at the new space, but if all goes well, he hopes to have the keys in hand by mid-July.

Leroy trained in Paris, and has been in the restaurant industry for forty years, having worked in restaurants in Paris, London, New York, and LA, among other cities. Chez Phillippe, he says, will be a traditional French restaurant, serving up authentic, French classics. He’ll helm the menu and do most of the cooking himself, in what he hopes will be a centralized, open kitchen, so customers can see their food being prepared.

We’re still low on details, but stay tuned for an update once Leroy has officially taken over the space and gets the menu in order — we’re hoping for French wine and soufflés galore.
