The Halfway Club Is Taking Over the Former Broken Record Space in San Francisco

"We loved The Broken Record; we used to go there regularly. The food was so good, and they had that incredible patio. It was a fun place to go hang out," The Halfway Club's Co-Owner shares.

According to a recent report by Tablehopper, a new tenant is taking its place.

The Halfway Club is scheduled to open at 1166 Geneva Avenue  near establishments such as Bravo’s Pizza, Geneva Pub, and Western Donut Shop — in early September if all goes according to plan.

The Halfway Club’s Co-Owner Greg Quinn tells What Now San Francisco that he and Ethan Terry have been interested in opening a bar together “for a while.”

“We loved The Broken Record; we used to go there regularly. The food was so good, and they had that incredible patio. It was a fun place to go hang out,” he shares.

According to Quinn, The Halfway Club will offer beverages such as cocktails, beer, and wine — and, to eat, “comfort food with a Midwest twist,” including options such as fried fish, burgers with cheese-filled patties, and cheese curds. In addition to staple items, the eatery will also offer a rotating menu.

Concerning the location, Quinn says, “We have the opportunity to be part of a pretty exciting renaissance… to provide a no-brainer, a place that is comfortable, approachable, and affordable.”
