According to a recently submitted permit application, the eatery is taking over a space at 2509 S Bascom Avenue — the former home of Grill Em Steakhouse — where it will neighbor Court’s Lounge, Lucy’s Mexican Grill, and Signature Dental.

For readers unfamiliar with Kirk’s, the concept has been around since the 1940s and developed all of its menu options from “closely kept family recipes,” according to the eatery’s website

In addition to burgers, its menu boasts deli and chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls, and sides such as onion rings and loaded fries.

“From the moment we light our open charcoal fires in the morning to the moment we lock up at night, we’re focused on freshness, service, selection, and convenience,” the business website shares.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Kirks Steakburgers on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
