If all goes according to plan, Shekoh Confections Cafe will debut at 444 University Avenue, Building 444 — taking over the former home of Chantal Guillon, a dessert shop known for its “handcrafted French macarons in unique & classic flavors” that announced its impending closure on Instagram in August of last year.

Notable establishments in the area include Blue Bottle Coffee, Lululemon, SOMISOMI dessert shop, and Sushiritto.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, the Shekoh Confections website provides a brief introduction, presenting the business as “a luxury chocolate and candy company that’s focused on incorporating exquisite flavor profiles and unique ingredients into its confections.” In the shop, patrons are provided with the opportunity to build their boxes of chocolate, choosing from flavors such as coconut, orange blossom, mezcal, and saffron, to name a few.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Moossavi — a French cuisine chef, chocolatier, and candy maker who has garnered culinary experience across the U.S. and around the world — who shared that, in addition to the decadent chocolates and desserts the shop is known for, the upcoming location will also offer food, beer, and wine.

Shekoh Confections Cafe is slated to open before the end of August.
