With the next closest location nearly an hour’s drive away, the Montgomery Village opening is already getting a very welcoming response. Shake Shack is best known for its signature ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries, and hand-spun shakes. This location will also serve the Golden State Double, an exclusive regional menu item only available at Bay Area Shacks, featuring locally sourced beef from Cream Co. of Oakland, cheddar cheese, pickles, and smoked garlic aioli.

“Our community has been buzzing about the impending opening since it was announced early last year,” said Brittany Mundarain, General Manager of Montgomery Village in a statement. “Hundreds of passionate Shake Shack followers turned out for the holiday pop-up here at The Village this past December. We can’t wait to welcome everyone at this long-awaited grand opening and also for the community to experience the space, the art, and the special menu items that uniquely celebrate Sonoma County!”

Opening Day Highlights:

  • The first 100 guests to purchase a Shake on grand opening day will receive a Sonoma County-branded Shake Shack tumbler.
  • Shake Shack will unveil an original mural hand-painted by local artist David Winters inspired by Santa Rosa’s ties to nature and viticulture.
  • As part of Shake Shack’s larger mission to Stand for Something Good, Shake Shack will donate $1 from every sandwich sold on February 28 to the Redwood Empire Food Bank – supporting their mission to feed neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger.
  • On February 28 and 29, Shake Shack will provide on-site donation bins to collect nut butter and other non-perishable food items for The Redwood Empire Food Bank’s Spread the Love food drive.

In 2023, Montgomery Village celebrated the opening of 9 stores and pop-ups. Shake Shack is the first new tenant to open its doors at Montgomery Village in 2024.
