Red Bay Coffee, a Bay Area-based cafe chain and coffee roaster, is planning to open a new outpost in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood.
According to a lease signed in May, the coffee company is coming to Building G at 1051 3rd Street, where it will neighbor establishments such as Cafe Réveille, CAVAÑA, and TWYNE.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Red Bay Coffee Roasters was founded in 2014 by Keba Konte, “a renowned artist and successful food entrepreneur with deep roots in the San Francisco Bay Area specialty coffee and hospitality industry.”
“Red Bay Coffee is at the forefront of what we believe is the fourth wave of coffee—a firm commitment to ensure coffee production is not only high quality and sustainable, but a vehicle for diversity, inclusion, social and economic restoration, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability,” the business shares on its website.
Red Bay Coffee currently operates six cafes throughout Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco and can be purchased at major retailers Whole Foods and Target.
