Shani Jones is the owner and chef of Peaches Patties, one of San Francisco’s few Caribbean food destinations. Jones named her business after her mother, nicknamed “Peaches”, who was a Kingston, Jamaica native known for making delicious homemade beef patties. Throughout Jones’ childhood, she was exposed to eclectic flavors through dishes such as Jamaican-flavored grilled meats served with Creole stews and gumbos, which inspired her love for robust spices and culturally rooted recipes. As a result of that passion, Peaches Patties was born.

Peaches Patties’ Ferry Building location menu will feature their Jamaican Patties in Spicy Beef and Curry Chicken, as well as Spinach and Irie Lentil for a vegetarian option. The location will also feature a Jamaican Patty Meal, which includes a choice of one patty, a side of vegetables and plantains, along with a Grilled Jerk Chicken Meal complete with rice and peas, a side of vegetables and plantains. Vegan diners can look forward to Shani’s Hearty Rastafarian Stew, filled with black beans, chickpeas, diced tomatoes, onions, garlic and a splash of wine for taste, served with rice and peas and a side salad. Peaches Patties will also offer a selection of Jamaican Beverages including freshly brewed, lightly sweetened Jamaican Ginger Beer, and Sorrel, a freshly steeped Jamaican Hibiscus tea with a refreshing ginger kick.

“We are happy to have our business open in San Francisco’s most famous landmark,” says Peaches Patties founder, Shani Jones in a statement. “Peaches Patties will be the first Jamaican Patty shop and Eatery to grace the Ferry Building.”

The Ferry Building is delighted to help Peaches Patties cement themselves in the city with their new location in the Marketplace and to help amplify their goal to give everyone in the Bay Area the experience of authentic Jamaican culture.

“We’re so excited to welcome Shani and the Peaches Patties team to the Ferry Building for our first opening of 2023,” says Jane Connors, General Manager of the Ferry Building in a statement. “This marks another sensational addition to the Marketplace’s lineup of diversely unique merchants.”

Peaches Patties is located at Suite 50, which is located in the front of the Ferry Building in the North Arcade. The storefront will be open Monday-Sunday from 9am – 6pm.
