Evan Hufford, former Head Sommelier at Michael Mina and other renowned restaurants, served as the opening wine director at Healdsburg’s SingleThread Farms. There, the Huffords and Knowles helped the restaurant attain three Michelin stars in just under two years. Hufford confirms that they plan to open to the public by February or March of 2022.
With their combined years of experience working at some of the world’s best restaurants, they hope to share what they’ve learned over the years with a neighborhood wine bar and retail shop. They will prominently feature wines from the Sonoma coast, Burgundy, and Champagne, in addition to a selection of craft beers and sake.
There will also be small bites, such as charcuterie with imported cheeses, caviar, and more. Maison Healdsburg is also planning partnerships with local Healdsburg restaurants to have small pre-made dishes available in their shop. Correction: An earlier version of this article stated that the owners have not yet responded. They’ve since been in touch, clarifying their timeline for opening and discussing more details about their shop.
