For readers who are unfamiliar with the ice creamery, the Humphry Slocombe team describes it to What Now San Francisco as “a San Francisco favorite” offering “a menu of unusual and trailblazing ice cream flavors.”

One of the company’s best-selling menu items is Secret Breakfast, which is made by baking cornflakes into a cookie and then mixing it into a vanilla and bourbon-infused ice cream base. The flavor has made such a mark that Food Network has named it one of the “Top 5 Ice Creams in America.”

Since Jake Godby and Sean Vahey started Humphry Slocombe back in 2008 they have launched a total of eight stores around the Bay Area — two in San Francisco, one in the Ferry Building and in the Mission District, as well as in Emeryville, Redwood City, Berkeley, and Oakland. The Dogpatch locale will mark Humphry Slocombe’s ninth.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so stay tuned to Humphry Slocombe’s Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
