Hi Neighbor — the restaurant group behind hit Bay Area eateries such as The Madrigal, MAMA Oakland, and Trestle — plans to debut a new concept in San Francisco’s Japantown.

According to a recent beer and wine license application, the concept will be called 7 Adams and is coming to 1963 Sutter Street — the current home of the “quaint, European-influenced” restaurant Gardenias — near Copra, Philmore Creamery, and Pizza Inferno.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Ryan Cole, CEO of Hi Neighbor Group, however, he was unable to provide additional information before publication.

It is still unclear in what capacity 7 Adams intends to occupy the space, so check back in over the coming weeks for an update.
