GluGlu is coming soon to Thrive City, Eater SF reports. The food and drink spot will be at 7 Warriors Way next to Chase Center and is anticipated to open this winter. GluGlu is brought to us by Chris Gaither and Rebecca Fineman, whose chic restaurant Ungrafted debuted in Dogpatch in 2018.

Fineman is a certified Master Sommelier, while Gaither is currently a Master Sommelier candidate, and they’ve created their next project with a level of casualness you wouldn’t typically associate with the wine industry. “These are the wines, after tasting wines all day at work, WE want to set aside and share with our friends on our days off,” they note on their website

According to them, “GluGlu is that thirst-quenching sound you make when drinking something delicious and refreshing. GluGlu wines are those you take one sip after another until you find yourself with an empty glass wanting more.”

Wines will include a mix of experimental selections and established brands, while the bar will also offer beer, sake, and ciders. For food, they’ve enlisted Chef David Aviles to help develop a casual menu leaning towards Mediterranean flavors with seasonal vegetables.
