Dumplings Could be Headed to Cow Hollow

It looks like Cow Hollow is getting a dumpling spot. Candy Liu has filed for permits at 1809 Union Street, on the corner of Union and Octavia streets, to open Dumpling Union.

The space was once home to cozy Italian restaurant Capannina, which permanently closed last summer.

For a city ripe with dim sum and dumpling options, Cow Hollow is seriously lacking. Dumpling Union could be the only dumpling spot in the neighborhood (the nearest dim sum spot, the da Vinci Villa Hotel’s Dim Sum Club, quietly closed in December).

No opening date has been announced, and representative for Dumpling Union was not immediately available for comment, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for soup dumplings by wintertime.
