The “casual, seasonally-driven San Francisco Italian restaurant” Che Fico is opening a new location. The concept by Chef David Nayfeld is heading to Springline, a mixed-use development in Menlo Park, where it will join establishments like Andytown Coffee Roasters, Barebottle Brewing Co., and Burma Love, to name a few.

In addition to a second outpost of the Che Fico restaurant, Nayfeld will debut an Italian market, Il Mercato Di Che Fico, that sells produce, prepared foods, wine, and gelato.

“It will definitely be Italian-leaning, but it will be a place where you’re able to get all of your needs in one place: your produce, your meat, your fish, your groceries — and get a pack of diapers,” Nayfeld tells the San Francisco Chronicle

As far as the restaurant is concerned, the menu will remain consistent — appetizers like fried risotto and focaccia, and small plates of scallops, flannery beef, and grilled octopus, alongside a variety of pasta and pizzas. Full-size plate options include wood fire-roasted chicken, veal sweetbread, and oven-roasted lamb loin. Plus, there’s a dessert menu.

While acknowledged as Springline’s anchor tenant, Che Fico will only be one of a total of eight eateries that will roll out at Springline by the end of the year.
