Coming to State Street Market — found at 170 State Street — Cetrella will take over a space formerly home to the restaurant El Alto, a concept by Chef Traci Des Jardins that shuttered late last year.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Owner M’hamed Bahet to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, if the concept remains consistent, locals can expect “Mediterranean-rim and California coastal cuisines with rotating seasonal vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, premium seafood, poultry, and meat dishes, and housemade pasta, pizza and dessert” — as well as a global wine list, signature cocktails, artisan beer, and organic fresh-pressed juices — according to Cetrella’s website.
“Named for the Isle of Capri’s panoramic valley and views like San Francisco’s coast and Farallons, Cetrella shares Capri’s distinction as a nexus of worldly gastronomy and blends,” the eatery shares in a brief introduction.
Cetrella on State Street is slated to open in mid-October — in the meantime, follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram.
