In downtown San Rafael, look out for a new establishment called Burren Bar and Restaurant. The business applied for its license to serve alcohol at 925 Fourth St. in late January and a public notice is currently posted in the windows of the restaurant that was formerly Boiadeirus Brazilian Steakhouse.

The previous establishment was well-rated among locals for its hot and cold buffet priced around $19.90, with the option to have barbecue for just five dollars more. According to Yelp, the restaurant apparently shuttered at some point during the pandemic but failed to update this information online, much to the dismay of customers who made reservations and drove out to San Rafael only to discover that the restaurant was closed.

Hopefully Burren Bar and Restaurant doesn’t make the same mishaps. They are likely to receive a lot of foot traffic in this neck of the woods, so we’re excited to see what they have in store for the neighborhood.

Their menu and theme are still yet unknown and an opening has not been announced. What Now San Francisco has reached out to the owners, who haven’t returned requests for comment.
