Birrieria & Coalcoman is taking over a former Chevy’s Fresh Mex at 8440 Murray Ave. next to the Gilroy Premium Outlets. The second location is currently under construction, so owner Luis Barajas tells What Now San Francisco that an opening is scheduled for June

Established in 2015, the family-owned business has become a popular spot for some of the best Birria and Micheladas found in the central coast. In addition to birria, the menu is composed of other authentic Mexican dishes such as Chile Relleno, Ceviche, Campechana, Enchiladas and more.

Barajas recently applied for the second location’s beer and wine license. In addition to those famous Micheladas, you can also order Chavela, Sangria, and a considerable selection of imported beers.
