At 1201 Fifth Avenue, the upcoming hotel will neighbor eateries such as LaVier Latin Fusion Restaurant, My Thai Restaurant, and Taqueria Bahia.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the Marriot franchisee Monaham Pacific and AC San Rafael’s general manager, Mark Pope, but they were unable to provide details before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, according to a recent article by the San Francisco Business Times, the 140-room, 28,000-square-foot hotel will be developed by Monahan Pacific for an estimated $25 million.
Mark Pope tells the Business Times that he sees the AC Hotel brand — “the perfectly precise hotel” — as a great option for “independent” travelers or business travelers.
Additionally, the hotel will reportedly host a ground-floor restaurant and lounge that offers “European-style” breakfast and dinner, a “Peloton-equipped” fitness center, and a 925-square-foot conference room.
“Without a doubt, the market has been lacking in this type of property,” shares Pope.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but the concept is slated to open before the fall of this year. In the meantime, follow AC Hotels on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
