Taking over the 6,777-square-foot former Goodwill space at 1220 Broadway, Ceremony will be “a giant club and concert venue” and land near establishments such as BigE Burgers, Golden Lotus, and Radio.

“When reached this month Green said the plan is for a music venue with capacity for 1,000 people and a target opening date this fall,” the Journal reports.

The article continues, “Oakland permits from 2022 (the most recent at the address) show proposals for tenant improvements converting the retail space to a full-service restaurant and music venue with a mezzanine.”

What Now San Francisco contacted Green, but he could not provide additional information at this time.

Stay tuned for updates.
