According to a pending beer and wine license filed with the State of California, a new business called Nilo Italian Restaurant is headed for 3451 Blackhawk Plaza Circle, just outside of Danville. Representatives for Blackhawk Plaza confirm that the restaurant is due to open to the public in Q1 of 2022.
Nilo will take over the former Stella’s Ristorante, which served Italian cuisine and doubled as a wine bar. One might guess that Nilo will also serve Italian fare in an upscale setting, to cater to the tastes that already gravitate to Blackhawk Plaza.
Based on the aforementioned ABC license, we wonder if Nilo will also have a wine bar or something similar to its predecessor. The owners of Nilo have been contacted but have not yet responded to requests for comment.
