According to a permit application recently submitted to the City of Berkeley, a new quick-service gelato and frozen dessert spot is gearing up to open.

Coming to 2125 University Avenue, the yet-to-be-named concept will land near establishments such as the “trendy cafe chain offering upscale coffee drinks & pastries, plus beans & brewing equipment” Blue Bottle Coffee, the Mexican restaurant Comal, and Triple Rock Brewing.

What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Sarabjit Bajaj, to inquire about his plans for the 870-square-foot space, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
