Taking over a spot at 815 Clement Street, the family-owned business will land near establishments such as Cherry Blossom Bakery, Hamburger Haven, and Lost Marbles Brewery.

Sewa’s owner, Kamal Kandel — who is also the restaurateur behind Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine at 1410 Grand Avenue in San Francisco and upcoming Oakland eatery Bay Leaf Indian and Himalayan Cuisine — tells What Now San Francisco that he’s teaming up with Sandesh Kandel, Surath Kandel, and Jayandra Sapkota to debut the concept.

The menu will resemble Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine’s — meaning locals can expect to find an assortment of momos, curries, and tandoori — and the space boasts a large indoor dining area. Sewa will also offer catering and delivery.

According to Kandel, Sewa Indian and Nepalese Cuisine is slated to open before the end of June.
