Downtown San Jose’s Fountain Alley is flourishing with eateries and places to grab a drink. Later this year, one of those places will be Goodtime Bar. The new business just applied for a license to serve beer and wine at 30 E. Santa Clara St. in the former MakiBQ space.

Goodtime Bar will focus on natural wines paired with simple, but delicious seasonal bites. The space will also put an emphasis on music to create the perfect atmosphere where customers will want to lounge with a book, drop by for after-work drinks, or spend time with friends over a couple bottles.

Goodtime Bar is brought to us by husband-and-wife team Steven Huynh and Ann Le. Huynh tells What Now San Francisco that they hopes to open by November of this year. “As our name says, we’re looking to create an intimate space for folks in San Jose to come have a good time.  As San Jose natives, we wanted to bring something fun and unique to San Jose that we don’t think is currently being offered,” he says.
