Taking over a spot at 3268 Grand Avenue, family-owned business Bay Leaf Indian and Himalayan Cuisine will land near establishments such as Almond and Oak, Bake Sum, and Cafe Romanat.

Bay Leaf’s owner, Kamal Kandel — who is also the restaurateur behind Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine at 1410 Grand Avenue in San Francisco — tells What Now San Francisco that he and his brother, Pashupati Kandel, are in the permitting phase at the moment.

The menu will resemble Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine’s — meaning locals can expect to find an assortment of momos, curries, and tandoori — and the space boasts an indoor dining area and outdoor seating on a small back patio.

According to Kandel, Bay Leaf Indian and Himalayan Cuisine is slated to open before the end of June.
