Yogi Korean BBQ is coming soon to Stockton. The business recently applied for its beer and wine license at 3121 W. Benjamin Holt Drive at the Marina Shopping Center with Marina Marketplace and Ace Hardware.
Owner Hyun Kim confirmed plans for Yogi Korean BBQ with What Now San Francisco this week. She says that in addition to the ABC license, they are still awaiting approval on several other permits, a process that has been going on for at least a year.
Given where they’re at in development, Kim wasn’t able to pinpoint a timeframe for their opening, but she did say that hopefully they can finally open before the end of this year. Yogi Korean BBQ will be an all-you-can-eat restaurant with all your traditional KBBQ fixings, plus soju and beer.
The space has seen plenty of tenants come and go over the years, from Le Bistro to Epic Lounge and most recently, Lyon’s Restaurant. Perhaps Yogi Korean BBQ will establish itself as a business that has staying power in the area. Given the popularity of Korean BBQ these days, we’re hopeful that it will. Stay tuned.
