The upcoming taproom will mark Woods’ sixth location. According to a recent article by San Francisco Chronicle, it will be more spacious than any so far, offering 3,800 square feet.
Owner Jim Woods shares, “they’re in the process of replacing walls with large roll-up doors to give it an ‘open-air’ feeling on the inside.”
Alongside craft beer and natural wine, Woods’ existing pubs serve empanadas by El Porteño and Detroit-style pizza by Joyride Pizza.
“That’s been really successful, having the Detroit-style pizza… Having more food is helpful for having people stay longer,” Woods tells the Chronicle. Rather than pizza or empanadas, Woods thought Lovely’s burgers would be best for the new outpost, taking into account surrounding restaurants.
Excitingly, in addition to burgers and fries, Lovely’s will introduce some new menu items at the upcoming taproom. Woods shares, “Having an option to grab some fried chicken and take it home would be a really good thing.”
The San Anselmo outpost of Woods Beer & Wine Co. is predicted to open by early 2024.
