The One Restaurant and Bar Planned for Mission Bay

While Hot Plate obviously couldn’t survive this block, hopefully this new venture will be “The One.”

The One Restaurant and Bar is owned by Rosanne Wong and her husband Patrick Lu. In a phone call with What Now San Francisco this week, Wong said that they are waiting to complete fire and health inspections with the city, adding that the process is taking longer than they anticipated.

When all is said and done, however, Wong says that they hope to get everything up and running within another month or two. So, expect The One Restaurant and Bar to open sometime this spring

The One will serve an Asian fusion menu but Wong did not elaborate on this, implying that they are still planning out this aspect of their new business. That said, they still need to put up a website and social media accounts when they have enough information ready to go public.

This restaurant will be joining the likes of Bubble Queen, Nama Sushi, and Earl of Sandwich. Its predecessor, Hot Plate, was also an Asian fusion restaurant but wasn’t the most popular spot for people who frequented the area. While Hot Plate obviously couldn’t survive this block, hopefully this new venture will be “The One.”
