According to public records, the eatery is headed to 2025 Kala Bagai Way, planning to take over the 1350-square-foot ground floor space of the apartment complex Rise at Berkeley, near eateries such as Las Delicias Salvadoran, Pink Cloud Tea & More, and Saigon Express.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the business’s President and COO, Tony Bendana, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, existing locations throughout the Bay Area provide a model for what Berkeley residents can expect.

The Cheese Steak Shop consistently offers a “no frills” environment and a menu that boasts a wide variety of cheese steak sandwiches — meaning topped with everything from mushrooms and provolone, to pizza sauce, barbeque sauce, onion rings, and bacon. In addition to hoagies, the restaurant serves sides like curly fries, chicken tenders, and salads.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow The Cheese Steak Shop on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
